With Rearmed on virtual shelves over much of the world, things are really kicking off in the world of Bionic Commando. If this is your first visit to the site – welcome! Have a look around, and excuse the mess. You’ll find hundreds of other BC fans over in the forums – and don’t just lurk, get in there and post!
The BC Dashboard Widget
To start off - this is what we love about the BC community.
Over on our forums, user Jose Arvelo
has created this fantastic Dashboard widget for Mac users to simply and
efficiently catch up with news here at bioniccommando.com. You can see
it in action on my desktop right here.
Not
content with creating a tidy application that rounds up news, the
Bionic Commando comes in 3 different skins – Rearmed, 3D BC and an NES
version complete with running sprite!
If you’re a Mac user
with even a passing interest in BC, you owe it to yourself to download
this. And we’re informed that a Windows version may also be in the
works. Bravo Jose - this made our day.

New BCR Wallpapers and Icons
And
speaking of downloadable user-created content, BC fan and
uber-moderator dvincent has created the simple and sleek desktop
wallpaper that you can see just above, and we’ve uploaded to the
Wallpapers section, along with 3 other BCR-themed wallpapers and a new
set of icons.
If you have anything – an app, an icon, a
wallpaper or whatever – that you think other users would get a kick out
of, post it over on the Creative Spotlight board, and we’ll put the best ones up here for everybody to download!

1Up Interview with Ben Judd
Over at 1Up, occasional guest host of our podcast Billy Berghammer has a 4-page interview
with Ben Judd that’s an interesting insight into the Japanese games
development industry, with the kind of honesty that Ben can't even get
away with here at bc.com
Capcom's Ben Judd Interview (1Up.com)
Ben on Major Nelson podcast
And if that’s not enough Ben Judd for you, Ben will also be making a guest appearance on Major Nelson’s podcast this Sunday. Check it out!
You can also catch Ben (and me!) on yesterday’s edition of IGN’s Three Red Lights podcast. And if you’re stick not sick of the sound of our voices after that… what the hell is wrong with you?!
Finally – 360 Leaderboards Issue
We’ve seen a number of users around the internet asking about the leaderboards in the Xbox 360 Japanese version of Rearmed – so we want to set the record straight.
Ratings standards require us to have two versions of Rearmed, the regular version on sale in most countries and a slightly cut version available in places with stricter ratings such as Germany, Japan and South Korea.
The leaderboards on these two versions are not connected, due to technical issues that are beyond our control, so it's not possible to compare scores - but you will be able to view both versions here and compare them when our stats tracking system is rolled out.
OK, on that note, we are out of here for this week. Catch us on the forums 24/7 – we want to hear what you think of BCR!

When will it be avalibale on the US PSN???
In hours I mean!!!!Oh, and FIRST!!!!!!!
On the edge of my seat just waiting for it on PS Store
Is there a scheduled time today when BCR is available on PS Store. I got work in a few hours and I was hoping it would be up early morning so i could play it b4 i leave. This game looks soo cool & I keep hearing from people who played it already how cool it is, man i can't wait!BC: R is awesome
BC:R is awesome... Everything the team has updated from the original makes sense and enhances the experience. From the leaderboards albeit delayed on posting records... to the updated bosses... to the player interaction...to the beautiful backgrounds...and the music. Way to go guys!I haven't had a chance to play multiplayer, although it didn't appear to be playable over xbox live which was somewhat of a let down...but I'll be looking forward to taking it over to some friends pad and exposing them to all of the greatness that is BC:R --- I'll prolly throw the nes in the bag for nostalgic purposes and fire that up first...
Good job guys...
I bought both versions...
the ps3 and 360 versions of Rearmed. Can i get a shirt? jkThanks guys!
BCR is EVERYTHING I hoped it would be. The wait was worth it and I hope that the number of downloads y'all get shows that. I'd be curious to get a report on a podcast or WFR here of how the game is selling. One other note, I've seen very few reviews from some of the big game sites out there. The IGN review is great. I've got to say though, I'm playing on a 360 and haven't had any problems with the controls. The Only "control" problems I'm having have to do with me sucking and having not played The original BC in 20 years.
Cheers!
BCR...
Is my game of the year! You guys did a stand up job on this game. It is everything and more than I expected! I sincerely hope that you sell millions of copies of this game over the internet because everyone that loves playing video games deserves to own this! I sold about 8 copies for you guys so far by just telling friends about it. Hope to have a multiplayer get together soon to show even more. If you guys take the time-love-and care for all of your games as you did with this one, you will be successful for ages.Thank you sooooo much again for making a great game even greater. This classic remake is a damn steal for only 10 bux and I'm sure that everyone who downloads it...including myself are very appreciative! Keep up the GREAT WORK!

Help
I got 1st worldwide for one of the challenge rooms but I can't remember which one it was... My tag is:worldroamer
if anyone wants to help or needs help or wants to send a friend request.
Also, is it possible for you guys to do an online multiplayer update? Me and my friend are playing this at the same time, so we do private chat since it's the closest thing to online coop. We can only imagine the scores we could get if there was online... plus theres no one I know locally to play with me...
Well I hope your happy.
Seems the PSN EU version went up earlier than I expected, although I had just bought the PC version I bought that one as well. Not since pokemon gold/silver had I bought two versions of the same game. I haven't got very far in either game just yet, but I'll probably stick to the PS3 version. Three reasons:1. I only have my keyboard to play the PC one. The controls are simple and customizable enough to make it easier than I thought, but still.
2. My laptop isn't made for games and therefore slows down a bit in most areas 'cept for challenge rooms.
3. Since my laptop isn't made for games I definetly wont be getting BC:Dreadlocked for it, so getting BCR for the PS3 as well seems like a good idea.
Also local multiplayer will be easier on the PS3. But I've gone on long enough, better get back to the game :)
durnit!
I made the stupid your/you're mixup mistake again >_<
